Meet Kellie: Daughter, project manager, advocate

Kellie is a project manager who jumped in to care for her father when he faced a terminal illness. Her dad has since passed away, but she continues to be grateful for the “great friendship” that she had with him. Just as Kellie’s dad’s health needs were ramping up, Kellie found herself juggling growing job responsibilities at work, in addition to the care she already provided for her own children. It was stressful and overwhelming. 

Kellie wanted to do everything she could to help her dad, but she didn’t know where to start. That’s when she discovered that her company offered Grayce as part of her benefits package. She immediately enrolled, and Gracye served as her north star as she navigated the difficult process of caring for her father.

After enrollment, Kellie was connected to a Grayce Care Partner, who offered to help her wade through the many tools and resources that were available to her. Her Care Partner answered her questions, listened to her struggles, offered advice, and provided ongoing help and support as her dad’s illness progressed. 

Kellie shared that she has stopped saying that life will never give you more than you can handle– because there have been two times in her life when she absolutely had to face more than she could handle without help. One of those times was when her dad was sick.

She needed help, and she got it through Grayce.

Kellie says she has become an authentic champion of Grayce because, without the support she got, navigating the hard, emotional journey of his illness would have been next to impossible. Kellie believes that any company that wants to support and retain employees has to invest in family support services like Grayce.
