We knew from the very foundation of Grayce that a vibrant, supportive community would be a key component of the care navigation platform we built. From our very first iterations, Gather, our community for members, has played an essential role in how we support caregivers and their families.
The reason is simple: We know that community matters. Social connection significantly impacts health and wellness–and we know that our members need camaraderie and support as they navigate complex caregiving journeys.
As Grayce has grown, so has our Gather community and the groups within. A recent update brought Gather onto our platform and improved functionality. It is a good time to share everything it offers.
When members come to Gather, they can connect with people experiencing the same things they are experiencing. We’ve seen new parents connect with other parents as they figure out life with a new baby. We’ve seen our community rally around caregivers supporting parents with dementia, chronic disease, and cancer. And, we’ve watched friendships blossom as questions are answered and stories are shared.
We understand that every caregiver has a different journey. Because of this, we have created discussion groups for various diverse caregiving journeys. These active groups foster meaningful conversations across various caregiving experiences, including parenting, cancer, neurodivergence, dementia, and more.
In addition to community conversations, Gather offers curated peer support groups facilitated by Grayce’s expert team to foster camaraderie and experience sharing. In these groups, members can share their own stories and respond to the stories of those around them, giving added comfort and insight.
Grayce’s community managers ensure these groups go deep, giving caregivers practical solutions and a sense of empowerment.
In addition to compassionate peer support, Grayce offers expert guidance to caregivers who need relevant and actionable information about their caregiving journey.
In Gather, members can attend regular workshops led by professionals on various essential topics. These workshops are designed to offer guidance within a supportive peer environment. Topics have included dementia, complex medical systems, self-care strategies for caregivers, and more.
In the “Ask an Expert” section, members can ask their caregiving questions and get real answers from peers and professionals. This allows members to receive evidence-based guidance while learning about shared peer experiences.
We have heard feedback that many employers want to let their employees access dedicated support, company announcements, and curated resources privately. To address this, we created exclusive employer-sponsored private groups. These groups have increased internal engagement with employers, maximizing the company’s investment in mental health and caregiving resources.
These strong, supportive groups are part of building a more engaged, less stressed workforce. This model has helped employers retain talent, reduce absenteeism, and support their employees without investing in additional internal resources.
The groups within Gather and the layers of support built into the Grayce platform empower caregivers. Caregivers face a difficult journey. However, with friends by their side and innovative tools at their back, they have what they need to navigate whatever is thrown at them.
Our quest to address the need for social connection among caregivers is integral to our work at Grayce. Our community serves as a place where members can get support and information, find resources, and most importantly, share their journeys authentically and meaningfully with like-minded friends.
We look forward to seeing you in Gather! To join, go to your dashboard and click “Community.”
